MY FAVORITE SHIRT
Bringing an inanimate object to life to awaken our inner sentiment and past memories.
Selling a product is sometimes as easy as focusing purely on its sentimental value. At least that’s the case for IndieWhip. Crafting a story around human characters with quilts could be done, but it wouldn’t hit home the way our video does. We didn’t see the final product or the consumer as the main character, but the t-shirt - the catalyst to the t-shirt quilt idea. With a large part of the market primarily being mothers, that is where we set our sights. We created a story based on a series of familiar milestones throughout a boy’s life, in which he received a t-shirt for every event. Little did we know, this hit a broader audience than expected. Comment after comment, thousands of viewers on YouTube wrote that the video was similar to that of their own story, and that of their children. For Project Repat, we not only made a piece that connected viewers in a new way to their company, but we made a spot so effective that it turned into a national digital advertising campaign.
